PACT - Strategic Management Tool

Alexander Ballard Ltd, in collaboration with Hampshire County Council, have developed PACT, a research-based framework for strategic capacity building designed to help organisations respond to climate change mitigation and adaptation pressures, as well as other aspects of the sustainable development agenda.

The framework is applicable for all organisations, from small private sector operations to governments and multinational corporations - essentially any organisation potentially affected by changes and volatility in environmental and economic conditions.

PACT has been designed to help leaders identify what level of performance their organisations need to attain, to pinpoint where they currently stand, and to map out the practical actions that can help them move forward quickly.

The framework shows how organisations improve their response to climate change in predictable stages, becoming able to handle issues of increasing complexity as they better understand the issues and build their own capacity.
