Workshop - Responding to Climate Change

Workshop - Responding to Climate Change

This is an opportunity to understand the PACT (Performance Acceleration Capacity-building Tool) framework that emerged from ABL's work with Hampshire County Council, Climate South East and other leading organisations in the ESPACE project (European Spatial Planning: Adapting to Climate Events).

Failure to foresee and plan adequately for climate change - both for its impacts and for the need to align with necessary mitigation policies - could ruin companies and be devastating for local communities. Almost every aspect of the commercial success and the social impact of an organisation is at risk and yet most organisations' responses are not adequate.

New government initiatives are beginning to require higher levels of response and there are signs that the finance sector might not be far behind when investing capital in projects or organisations.

  • What characterises good, what is exceptional, performance?
  • What conditions have to be observed to make transformative breakthroughs more likely to succeed?
  • What practical steps can be taken now to unblock faster change later?

ASP Learning Events collaborates with Alexander Ballard Ltd in a half day workshop at:

University of Westminster, London on 21st April 13:30 - 17:30.

  • gain insight into the nature and scale of the human and strategic problems climate change presents
  • gain insight into PACT and hands-on experience of the methodology
  • gain an overview into your organisation's response
  • actively participate and have an opportunity to share your experiences and concerns
  • identify intervention opportunities
  • identify opportunities for collaborations that can take advantage of PACT
