 David has produced, directed and edited prestigious documentaries for most of the world's major networks and two of his programmes have been nominated for Emmy awards.

Corporate video projects for top 100 UK companies and major global players have covered mergers and acquisitions, award-winning training programmes, analyst & AGM presentations, stock market flotations, and detailed presentations on IT, molecular biology, nuclear issues, defense related activities, water supply and drainage technologies, automotive, investment, insurance, pensions, sport, sponsorship, etc.
Combat
Among the wars covered by David Bowen-Jones, the Afghan resistance to the Russians posed special problems. David spent months at a time with guerrilla groups eight times over 8 years.
In 1980 he took a small party on foot from Pakistan into the heart of Afghanistan, to report on a war the world said was not happening.
Following the Russian invasion, strong resistance had sprung up in the form of the Mujahedeen. David and his team followed one faction as they lead an attack on the Customs House in Kandahar.
To capture this dramatic incident, David arrived at the innovative solution of using a military night sight to film the night-time raid. David and his team became the first production crew to film via the aid of a military night scope, a technique now widely used.
Afghanistan

David Bowen-Jones traveled into the heart of Afghanistan, for part of a series of documentaries on Afghanistan (Granada TV).
Kampuchea
David Bowen-Jones directed the first TV Crew to enter Kampuchea under Vietnamese occupation and film the Khmer Rouge and other Guerrillas. (CBS & CH4 News)
Pakistan
"Red Flag over the Khyber"
David's 52 minute film made for the American "Frontline" series was nominated for an EMMY award.
Investigative
David has held senior producer, director and series producer posts in investigative TV teams. His investigations have covered terrorism, financial fraud, police corruption, consumer issues, art theft and forgery, political controversy and the politics of guerrilla warfare in the UK, USA, Sudan, Israel, Iran, Iraq, Cambodia and Afghanistan. EMMY nominations and other honours have been earned while producing special programmes for World In Action, Newsnight, BBC Global Report, PBS Frontline, CBS 60 minute, ABC 20/20 and many other major networks in Europe, Japan and Australia.
