Melanie Newman

Melanie has particular expertise in the aviation and transport sectors. She has 15 years senior management experience with British Airways ranging from operational roles to strategy development in UK and overseas. In 2000, she developed the company's strategy for corporate responsibility, a new code of conduct and their first social and environmental report. As a consultant on business and sustainable development, Melanie works with senior management teams in the private and public sectors to improve strategies, policies, practice and performance.

Melanie gained an MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice from Bath University in 2002. Besides her consulting activities, she has written two children's books aiming to promote critical-thinking about environmental issues and is working on similar projects for adults.
