Following a London Business School MBA, David Ballard had a successful career first in senior marketing, finance and strategy roles, then in Environmental Management, in which he won several awards. He spent some years as a Director of a leading organisational change consultancy. He set up Alexander Ballard Ltd. in answer to a growing need for consultants who are able to handle strategy at boardroom level, who have a strong understanding of environmental sustainability and who are experienced at working with human and organisational change.

Triple award-winning BBC journalist Sue Alexander has been training senior scientists to communicate more widely for over ten years. As she learned more about environmental sustainability she realised a strong neeed for specialist understanding of communication strategy in this field.

Susan and David pooled their business, communication, science and sustainable development experience in many successful consultancy collaborations culminating in their co-directorship in 2006.
